Oncology Social Workers Are Part Of Your Team

Clinical Oncology social workers can help cancer patients and their families overcome challenges during treatment planning, the treatment process and post-treatment.

Services include:

  • Education, support and advocacy
  • Referrals to resources to help with employment, insurance and financial and legal issues related to cancer treatment
  • Individual short-term counseling, caregiver support, referrals to online or phone peer-support resources and national support groups, and if needed, links to mental health providers and crisis hotlines.
  • Support in finding spiritual services
