University of Maryland Shore Regional Health offers both traditional and contemporary imaging services to help you and your physician manage your health care.  The Department’s picture archival and communications system (PACS) enables radiologists, primary care providers and specialists to view and manage all diagnostic digital images instantly from wherever they are through a secure internet connection, which means quicker diagnosis, consultation and intervention for you, the patient.  

Traditional tests include basic diagnostic radiography (standard X-rays), fluoroscopy (X-rays that show internal organs in motion on a monitor), nuclear medicine (using small amounts of radioactive substances to view parts of the body with a gamma camera) and ultrasound (using high-frequency sound waves to create images of organs in the body).
