Preventive Screenings

In collaboration with local physicians and community partners, the Cancer Center offers a number of preventive screenings throughout the year including screenings for skin cancer and prostate cancer. Additionally, the Center provides educational opportunities focusing on topics such as colon cancer. All screenings are free and open to the public. Underinsured and uninsured are encouraged to participate.

Colon Cancer Symposium in March, 2015

The Cancer Center held a Colon Cancer Symposium in March, 2015, featuring guest speakers Michael Fisher, MD, a gastroenterologist with Digestive Health Associates in Easton, and Christine Allen, RN, CSO, LDN, clinical dietitian at UM Shore Regional Health. The symposium provided an overview of colon cancer, the importance of getting a colonoscopy and dietary suggestions for the prevention of colon cancer.
