Roberta J. Lilly, MD, MPH, FACS, medical director of the Comprehensive Breast Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, was recently recognized at the American Cancer Society’s 2015 Colors of Cancer: An Event to Honor Hometown Heroes. Dr. Lilly was presented with the Medical Professional Award for the Colors of Cancer, an honor given for her contributions to the care of cancer patients.

“I was genuinely surprised and deeply honored to receive this recognition,” comments Dr. Lilly. “The American Cancer Society is the nation’s oldest and most respected organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about cancer treatment and prevention. It was a great privilege to be in the company of previous American Cancer Society Colors of Cancer honorees and I will aspire to live up to this distinction.”
